The DALI PIR Motion and Twilight sensor is a device designed for installations using the DALI (DIGITAL ADRESABLE LIGHTINGH INTERFACE) control protocol. It is a dimming protocol defined under the European standard IEC62386. Control signals are sent and received via a power supply BUS.
This device has a PIR detector (PASSIVE INFRARED SENSOR) which sends an ON signal to the luminaires when it detects movement. It also has a twilight sensor that detects the absence of light necessary to send a signal via the DALI BUS to the luminaires.
To be able to use the sensor it is essential to use DALI MASTER Controller, connected to the same BUS provided by a DALI power supply.
It is possible to select the sensor mode, either motion, twilight or both, to assign a device or group to each sensor and to set the minimum brightness for the luminaires to switch on and the switch-on time. This requires a DALI Master Netwok Host to program the device.
You can also configure the sensor to only switch on the assigned luminaires if the brightness drops below a set level and it detects movement, so that the luminaires are only switched on when they are needed, multiplying the savings achieved.
*A DALI MASTER Controller is required for use.
*A DALI Master Netwok Host is required to configure the device, otherwise it comes with factory-defined settings.
*The light threshold range for the twilight sensor is 10-650 lx.
