Description

The Universal Master TRIAC LED Dimmer Switch is an advanced solution for controlling dimmable LED lighting, with the ability to connect multiple slave controllers. Designed for both professional and residential installations, it allows brightness adjustment from different locations while maintaining precise and safe dimming. It is compatible with standard 86×86 mm wall boxes and frames such as Schneider, JUNG, Elko, Niko, or Busch‑Jaeger.

TRIAC dimming technology

Based on trailing‑edge phase‑cut dimming, this device controls brightness by reducing part of the incoming sine wave signal. For applications requiring extremely fine dimming, we recommend protocols such as 0–10 V or DALI, available in our catalogue.

This dimmer does not require a neutral conductor, making installation easier in homes with existing wiring. It also includes built‑in protection circuits against overloads, overheating, and short circuits, significantly improving reliability.

Control from multiple locations

One of the system’s most notable features is the ability to connect multiple slave controllers to the master dimmer. This setup allows control of the same luminaire from different points in the room, replicating the behaviour of a traditional two‑way switch but with added dimming functionality. This makes it ideal for long hallways, living rooms, hotels, or commercial spaces where complete control from multiple access points is desired.

Brightness adjustment and compatibility

The front of the dimmer includes potentiometers to set minimum and maximum brightness levels, allowing customisation of dimming behaviour according to the specific characteristics of the installed bulbs. This is particularly useful for preventing flicker or unwanted light jumps when working with LED luminaries from different manufacturers or power ratings.

The recommended minimum load is 3 W, and the maximum load is up to 200 W in LED, covering the needs of most medium‑sized residential and commercial projects.

Perfect for use in homes, restaurants, offices, hotel rooms, or common areas where smooth light control and multi‑point access are desired without complications. Installation is simple, safe, and compatible with dimmable transformers and most LED luminaries on the market.
