Description

The Sound Sensor for E27 Bulbs is a smart accessory that allows the automatic switching on of light bulbs through acoustic detection. Designed for quick installation with no wiring required, this device activates the connected lamp when it detects sounds such as claps, footsteps, or knocks—making it a practical solution for hallways, storage rooms, staircases, or transit areas where contactless activation is preferred.

Advanced Technical Features

It operates directly at 220–240V AC and supports a maximum load of 60W with a standard E27 socket. Its built-in timer keeps the bulb on for 30 seconds after the last sound is detected, then turns it off automatically if no further signal is received. The unit features an adjustable sensor with a sensitivity range between 30 dB and 90 dB, adapting to various ambient noise levels. It activates only under lighting conditions below 40 lux, avoiding unnecessary switching during daylight. It works on a 50/60 Hz frequency and allows direct installation in E27 lamp holders or ceiling fittings.

Practical Applications and Use Cases

This sensor is ideal for communal hallways, stairwells, storage areas, garages, home entrances, or shared zones, where occasional presence does not justify constant lighting. Its plug & play design enables tool-free installation, and its sound-based detection makes it especially useful in spaces where motion sensors are impractical or undesirable. It can also serve as an auxiliary solution for temporary setups, caravans, or rural homes.

Compatibility and Usage Recommendations

To ensure safe operation, it must be used with bulbs under 100W. The sensor includes a stepped protection system: small connection for lamps from 20W to 30W, medium connection for lamps from 40W to 50W, and large connection for lamps over 50W. It is recommended to adjust the sensitivity using the front dial before initial use to adapt it to the specific environment.
