Technical design and materials

The body of the Shoe LED Street Light is made from high-pressure die-cast aluminium, with anti-corrosion treatment and thermoset powder coating that protects against humidity, pollution, and UV rays. Its slim “shoe”-type design optimises airflow, reducing wind resistance and improving thermal dissipation. This aerodynamic architecture guarantees long durability even under adverse weather conditions.

The optical assembly consists of a high-transparency polycarbonate cover with UV protection and impact resistance (IK08). The hermetic seal with silicone gaskets ensures an IP66 protection rating, preventing the ingress of dust and water, making this luminaire suitable for outdoor installation exposed to rain or saline environments.

LED technology and electronics

The street light integrates a high-efficiency SMD LED module that delivers a luminous efficacy above 140 lm/W, achieving a total luminous flux of approximately 21,000 lumens. Its neutral light colour (4000K) guarantees excellent visibility and visual comfort, avoiding glare and improving depth perception on urban roads and secondary highways.

The high-quality electronic driver features protection against surges, overload, and overheating, ensuring stable operation even on power grids with fluctuations. This component, together with the passive thermal control of the aluminium body, contributes to a service life exceeding 50,000 hours of continuous operation, significantly reducing maintenance costs.

Optics and luminous performance

The optical system of the Shoe 150W Street Light uses PMMA lenses designed to provide an asymmetric Type II or III distribution, ideal for urban roads and throughways where uniform illumination across the carriageway is required without lateral losses. Its excellent beam control reduces light pollution and improves system efficiency, directing light exactly where it is needed.

The high colour rendering index (CRI ≥ 80) provides natural and crisp lighting, aiding the identification of pedestrians, signage, and vehicles, thereby ensuring road safety. Its instant start-up without flicker or warm-up times offers an immediate response to power cuts or automatic control systems.

Installation and maintenance

The universal mounting system allows installation on horizontal or vertical arms with diameters up to 60 mm, offering flexibility to adapt to different types of columns or poles. The head tilt can be adjusted between -15° and +15° to optimise beam orientation according to road layout or mounting height.

The tool-free opening design and direct access to the driver and LED module facilitate preventive maintenance tasks. Thanks to excellent thermal management, the unit operates at low internal temperatures, extending the lifespan of electronic components and reducing technical interventions.
