Plugs and Sockets

Plugs and sockets are elements that will allow us to connect any kind of electrical device to the mains. Also, we can find other sorts of sockets like those for antennas, both for cable or satellite television, or even ethernet sockets that allow us to connect to networks that we have installed.

The most common model of socket in the UK is defined in the standard BS 1363 and which will be found in most buildings. It's characterized as having two horizontal, rectangular pins for line and neutral, and above these pins, a larger, vertical pin for an earth connection.
