A LED driver converts the alternating current from the mains supply into direct current, which can be used to illuminate the LED chips. The Xitanium Driver that it incorporates is from the prestigious company PHILIPS, one of the most innovative and prestigious brands in the lighting industry. This driver has been specially designed for Public Lighting. This range of drivers offers a unique reliability and flexibility, providing a high performance and optimum efficiency of LEDs. The entire range of Xitanium drivers incorporates an IP65 housing that protects against humidity, vibrations and temperature, guaranteeing maximum durability. In addition, it includes both over-temperature and surge protection.

This driver features several control functions. One of them being the 5 step dimming phase. This type of technology is called Fixed Time Based Dimming (FTBD). The 5 dimming phases are assigned a power capacity and a time duration. This way, when there is no traffic, the amount of light emitted by the luminaire is reduced, adapting intelligently to the different night scenarios and considerably reducing electricity consumption.
The other regulating function of the luminaire is carried out by means of 1-10V dimming, where the voltage of an alternate circuit is modified to regulate the intensity of light in the luminaire.
