Description

The IP65 Radar Motion Sensor for UFO Smart HBD LED Canopy is an advanced control device designed to optimise energy consumption in industrial, logistics, and commercial environments. Thanks to its microwave radar detection technology, this sensor automatically regulates the lighting of the HBD LED canopies based on the presence or absence of movement, improving energy efficiency and extending the lifespan of the luminaires.

Radar detection technology

The detection system is based on Doppler microwave technology, which is much more precise and stable than conventional PIR sensors. This method detects movement even through lightweight materials such as plastic, glass, or acrylic, offering a uniform coverage range of up to 12 metres. Its sensitivity can be adjusted to suit the installation height or the type of activity in the monitored area. This type of detection is ideal for industrial warehouses, storage facilities, or car parks where reliability and response time are critical.

Compatibility and 0-10V control

The Smart HBD Radar Sensor is designed to integrate with UFO LED canopies with 0-10V control input, allowing precise management of light intensity. The system automatically adjusts the light level based on motion detection or ambient brightness, activating the luminaire only when necessary. This analogue dimming protocol is widely used in industrial projects and centralised control systems, ensuring compatibility with professional drivers and automated energy management systems.

Installation and power supply

The device is powered by an input voltage of 12-24V DC and provides a 0-10V control output. Its compact design and direct mounting system facilitate installation on UFO LED canopies or metal surfaces, integrating perfectly into the luminaire body. The sensor features three fixing screws and a sealed casing that protects the internal electronics against dust and moisture. It is compatible with the HBD Smart LED canopy series, allowing easy installation without the need for modifications to the equipment.

With an IP65 protection rating, the sensor is completely dust-tight and water-resistant, making it suitable for industrial environments, damp areas, or covered outdoor spaces.
