The 40W Villa LUMILEDS LED PHILIPS Xitanium Programmable 5 Steps Street Light is one of the latest-generation luminaires, offering instant start-up thanks to its LED technology, as well as high power. It is the ideal replacement for old discharge streetlights, improving light quality and significantly reducing energy consumption.

It incorporates the LUXEON 5050 2D light source. The light source is protected with tempered glass that has an IP66 protection rating, making it weather-resistant. Lumileds technology guarantees high luminous performance with extreme durability. Lumileds is a company dedicated to the development, manufacture, and distribution of lighting and also holds more than 200 patents related to LED technology.

The luminaire body has been manufactured using injection moulding to ensure the optimal quality of the heat sink, in high-quality aluminium. It features an internal hinge that enhances its aesthetics without losing versatility. A chemical and mechanical anti-corrosion treatment has been applied, UV-resistant, further improving its aesthetic durability. In addition, for greater safety the luminaire includes surge protection.

Features of the XITANIUM Programmable t5 Steps Driver

An LED driver is responsible for transforming the AC from the mains into DC suitable for powering the LED chips. The integrated Xitanium Driver is from the prestigious company PHILIPS, one of the most innovative and renowned brands in the lighting industry; this driver is designed especially for street lighting. This range of drivers offers unique reliability and flexibility, providing high performance and optimal efficiency for LEDs. The entire Xitanium driver range features an IP65 housing that protects against humidity, vibrations and temperature, ensuring maximum durability. It also includes both over-temperature and surge protection.

In this case, the driver incorporates 5 steps, that is, 5 dimming phases. This type of technology is called Fixed Time Based Dimming (FTBD); each of the 5 phases is assigned a power level and a duration. In this way, when traffic or pedestrians are practically non-existent, the amount of light emitted by the luminaire is reduced, intelligently adapting to different night-time scenarios and considerably reducing electricity consumption.

By default, the luminaire’s driver comes programmed in 4 steps:

Step 1: First hour → 60% brightness

Step 2: Second hour → 70% brightness

Step 3: Third hour → 80% brightness

Step 4: Fourth hour → 90% brightness

Step 5: Fifth hour until switch-off → 100% brightness

Thanks to our programmable luminaires, the brightness changes automatically to intelligently adapt to different night-time scenarios.

There are two types of mounting for this 40W Villa LUMILEDS PHILIPS Xitanium Programmable 5 Steps LED Luminaire. The mounting to the luminaire bracket will be a diameter of 27 mm.
