Question 1

T8 LED tubes with motion sensor

Accepted Answer

T8 LED tubes with motion sensor have general features including a range of up to 8 metres and an angle of action of up to 180 degrees.

Question 2

What are the benefits of motion sensors?

Accepted Answer

The two main advantages of all LED tubes are: They do not contain hazardous components for humans and the environment. They save on maintenance as no starters or resistors are needed. In addition to the above, LED tube models with motion sensors have a number of advantages of their own: Energy saving. They are only activated when there is movement. There is no need to turn them on and, above all, to turn them off when you leave the room in which they are installed, because they have an automatic on/off function. Economic savings. Its consumption depends on the time of use and, as this is lower, it has a direct impact on the electricity bill. Greater respect for the environment. The optimisation of use provided by the automatic switch-off is directly linked to greater and better control of unnecessary consumption.

Question 3

How do motion sensors work?

Accepted Answer

The operation of a T8 LED tube with motion sensor is simple and consists of the sensor acting as a radar within a range of up to 8 metres and at an angle of up to 180 degrees, detecting movement and causing the LED tube to generate the full power it is capable of. On the other hand, if after 30 to 40 seconds the sensor does not recognise any movement in its operating range, it stops generating any power and switches off automatically.
