Description
The Lithium battery SAJ 48V B1 5.1 kWh is a perfect solution for residential PV installations with storage. This battery is an advanced lithium-ion battery that operates at 48 V DC. It is compatible with most hybrid inverters on the market. Up to 8 batteries can be stacked in parallel. This SAJ B1 battery can serve as an expansion of the SAJ AS1 Retrofit Battery. The battery includes a battery management system (BMS), which is used to ensure the efficiency of the battery and to avoid overcharging or over-discharging.
In a hybrid PV installation during the day, the electricity generated by the solar panels will first be supplied to the consumers and the excess energy will charge the battery. If there is more energy left over, it is fed into the grid. During the night or on cloudy days the system will draw power from the battery. This type of solar installations with batteries are very interesting and pay off in a few years because they provide great savings in the consumption of the house. Good ventilation must be ensured in the installation area, as insufficient ventilation could affect the performance of the internal electronic components and shorten the lifetime of the system.
