5 precautions when installing outdoor LED strips

When installing LED strips outdoors or in your garden, once you have a waterproof junction box to supply electricity, keep the following recommendations in mind:

  1. Make sure you buy LED strips with appropriate IP65 or IP67 protection.
  2. Measure the meters of LED strips you need. Remember that in our catalogue you can find rolls of up to 50 metres.
  3. Clean the surface where you are going to place them and adhere the LEDs little by little.
  4. Use specific and watertight joints to connect the strips. Check that you follow the maximum length recommended by the manufacturer to avoid losing brightness.
  5. Cut the LED strips only where indicated in the instructions for use.
  6. Consider using outdoor LED profiles. Some are sold with integrated lights. These will ensure professional and elegant results.
