A LED driver converts the alternating current from the mains supply into direct current, which can be used to illuminate the LED chips. The Xitanium Driver that it incorporates is from the prestigious company PHILIPS, one of the most innovative and prestigious brands in the lighting industry. This driver has been specially designed for Public Lighting. This range of drivers offers a unique reliability and flexibility, providing a high performance and optimum efficiency of LEDs. The entire range of Xitanium drivers incorporates an IP65 housing that protects against humidity, vibrations and temperature, guaranteeing maximum durability. In addition, it includes both over-temperature and surge protection.

In the case of this driver it incorporates 5 steps, that is, 5 regulation phases. This type of technology is called Fixed Time Based Dimming (FTBD). The 5 regulation phases are assigned a power and a time duration. In this way, when there is practically no traffic or passers-by, the amount of light emitted by the luminaire is reduced, adapting intelligently to the different night-time scenarios and considerably reducing electricity consumption.

By default the luminaire driver comes programmed in 4 steps:

Step 1: First hour → Brightness at 60%.

Step 2: Second hour → Brightness at 70%.

Step 3: Third hour → Brightness at 80%.

Step 4: Fourth hour → Brightness at 90%. 

Step 5: Fifth hour until shutdown → Brightness at 100%.
